
The NJC is helping to heal the harm caused by offending through the restorative justice group conference program for young adults. Group conferencing brings together offenders, victims, their families, legal representatives and police to find solutions and address the impacts of crime. The process helps victims of crime feel a greater sense of satisfaction with the justice system and also helps people recover from the effects of crime.

Each year, offenders complete unpaid work across Victoria as part of community based orders imposed by the courts. This work, supervised by Community Correctional Services, is a valuable way of contributing back to the community.
