About the Court Network service
Going to court can be stressful, and it's not always easy to understand what's happening or what other services are out there. This is why you'll find Court Network volunteers at the Neighbourhood Justice Centre to help you journey through the justice system.
Court Network volunteers (called 'Networkers') provide non-legal support and information to anyone attending court including family and friends of clients. They can help you with:
- information about court procedures
- referrals to community resources and services
- company and support.
A great way to prepare for your day in court is to visit the NJC and see the court a few days before your hearing. This means you'll know what to expect on the day, including how to get here on time using public transport or where to park, and know who'll meet and what the courtroom looks like.
Get in touch with us on 9948 8777 we'll organise a pre-court tour with you.
You can contact Court Network's telephone duty service and speak to a staff member about your court support needs. A Networker will meet you at the NJC on the day you have to attend.
